Have you heard? St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation will change its name this June.

With the opening of the new Comox Valley Hospital in late 2017, and the upcoming redevelopment of St. Joseph’s Hospital into a seniors’ focused care campus, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation needs to change its name to something that represents the diversity of healthcare facilities it will soon be supporting in the community.

St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation – by its new name – will still continue to fund our community’s healthcare system thanks to generous donors like you.

Changing our name was not an easy decision, especially since St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation has been providing funding to our historical community hospital since 1993, but like Prince Philip of England once said, “Change does not change tradition – it strengthens it.”

After much discussion and consultation, the Foundation’s Board of Directors approved a new name that will be unveiled at this year’s Mindset Wealth 26th Annual St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Golf Classic June 16 at Crown Isle.

We have also been working with a regional creative company to help craft our new brand, logo and tagline. So far we really like what we see, and we think you will too.

We can’t wait to share it with you!

Please join our Foundation as we set off on this new journey under a new name, but on the same path that we’ve always travelled – to help improve Comox Valley healthcare for all of us, from first breath to end of life.
