Toonies For Teddies
Sienna Stevens, Mark R. Isfeld Senior Secondary School student, is planning Toonies For Teddies February 23 - 27, 2026 with the hopes to grow support for the Comox Valley Hospital’s Stuffed Animal Program for pediatric patients.
Stuffed animals are used in several departments throughout the hospital to help comfort children who need medical care. These soft, cuddly toys reduce stress and are wonderful for distracting, calming, or cheering up young patients.
Sienna wants to make sure her school community knows about this program and supports it, and ideally, explore ways to ensure the program is sustainable overtime.
Sienna’s volunteer efforts are part of her capstone project - a culminating project taken on by all students in their final year of high school and a graduation requirement. Capstone projects are an opportunity to demonstrate learning around an area of interest and a chance to connect with the world outside of school to explore future pathways and as a way to have a personal impact on community.
We are thrilled to work with Sienna and delighted that Domino’s Pizza is getting involved in this youth initiative. You can get behind Sienna’s project by donating through the form below. If you are part of the Mark R. Isfeld Senior Secondary School community, please indicate which Teacher Advisory (TA) is connected with the gift to help Sienna tally the contest aspect of her fundraiser.
