27th Annual Robbie Thompson Slo-Pitch Tournament

September 12 -14 at Lewis Park, 489 Old Island Hwy, Courtenay BC

For three days in early September, twenty-two teams will be playing in memory in Jim Lalic who founded the Robbie Thompson Slo-Pitch Tournament nearly three decades ago. These dedicated, fun-loving slo-pitch players are raising funds for Cancer Care at the Comox Valley Hospital. Robbie has chosen to dedicate this year’s proceeds to the Cancer Care Unit at the Comox Valley Hospital in gratitude for the support he experienced while receiving treatment. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of specialized chairs to enhance patient care.

The tournament is already sold out, but organizers are keeping a waitlist and there is much to enjoy for spectators and supporters including a concession by Kelly O’Bryans, beverage garden, raffles, the games, and more.

Schedule:
Friday, September 12: 6pm-11pm
Saturday, September 13: 8am-11pm
Sunday, September 14: 8am-6pm
