Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation Celebrates Strong Community Support
Emergency Department Staff at the Comox Valley Hospital join Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Executive Directors, Avry Janes and Rhonda Stevens, to thank Foundation donors.
The Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation has released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting the pivotal role community plays in strengthening healthcare across the region. Thanks to the support of individuals, businesses, and community partners, the Foundation raised more than $2.7 million last year, helping to fund equipment, programs, and initiatives that directly benefit patients and their families throughout the Comox Valley.
Susan Auchterlonie, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, reflects on these contributions and what they mean for our community.
“Over 200 new pieces of equipment have been funded across the hospital, Community Health Services, Cumberland Lodge, Glacier View Lodge, and Providence Living at The Views,” Auchterlonie shares in the Foundation’s 2025 Impact Report, “A powerful reminder of what's possible when generosity and community spirit come together to support local healthcare.”
In 2025, donor support helped fund a range of priorities across the healthcare system, from advanced diagnostic equipment to initiatives that enhance patient comfort and equip healthcare professionals with tools to provide the best care possible.
Beyond equipment, the Foundation also focuses on strengthening healthcare services by supporting staff training, innovation, and initiatives that improve the overall patient experience.
“The generosity of our community continues to inspire us,” Auchterlonie said. “Gifts of all types and amounts reflect a shared commitment to strengthening healthcare in the Comox Valley.”
As the healthcare needs of the region continue to grow, the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation remains focused on connecting community support with critical healthcare priorities.
