Long-Term Care

The Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation supports long-term care at three not-for-profit long-term care homes: Cumberland Lodge, Glacier View Lodge, and The Views at St. Joseph’s including their new building under construction that will specialize in dementia care.

The population of the Comox Valley and surrounding area is just over 75,000 people, a third of whom are over the age of sixty. This percentage is higher than any other community on Vancouver Island and higher than the provincial average. It is expected that the number of residents over seventy-five years old will nearly double over the next two decades. Supporting long-term care is critical to ensure our loved ones continue to receive top quality care.
