In celebration of National Multiple Birth Awareness Day we are delighted to introduce Chris Haslett, Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation board member, and proud dad of twin girls.

Chris and his wife Kim made the decision to raise their daughters, Ava and Ella in the Comox Valley, where Chris grew up. Between gymnastics practice, golf lessons, family camping trips, and play time with their new puppy, Stanley – it is never a dull moment in the Haslett household!

From being born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, to spending time with his great-grandmother at Glacier View Lodge, Chris understands the importance of ensuring essential healthcare, close to home.  Ava, now 6, had breathing problems as a toddler that brought the Haslett family to Emergency a number of times.  Chris and Kim are grateful for the excellent care their daughter received at our local hospital.

Chris’ personal experiences, combined with his passion for giving back to his community, inspired him to become a board member in 2019. Chris believes that supporting local healthcare is, “the best way to help the most amount of people.” He hopes to lead by example for his daughters through actively volunteering in his community.

Chris brings his passion for community and professional expertise from his career in business, currently as a Commercial Insurance Broker with Waypoint Insurance, in serving on our Board of Directors.  Thank you Chris!
