Today, we share our sincere gratitude for TB Vets Charitable Foundation’s generous grant to fund the purchase of a new Pulmonary Function Testing Chamber for the Comox Valley Hospital’s Heart and Lung Department. This essential equipment has the ability to run five different lung function tests, overall allowing physicians to recognize and understand the full extent of a patient’s disease, while also providing them the ability to properly diagnose and treat each patient.

Currently, the Heart and Lung department see over 3,300 patients over the course of a year who require testing using this Pulmonary Function Testing Chamber. These patients are 6 years of age and older, and are receiving care for challenges such as Inflammatory Lung Disease, Asthma, and Interstitial Lung Disease.

“My sincere gratitude to the TB Vets Charitable Foundation,” stated Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation Board President Bill Anglin, “It is powerful to see how this generous donation will support excellent care in the Comox Valley and the North Island.”

We are grateful for donors like TB Vets who help ensure our hospital has the equipment to provide care for all of our patients. Thank you, TB Vets.
