The Kiwanis Club of Courtenay is hosting the 11th annual musical event at the Sid.
The movie Kinky Boots will be held January 20th at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $25.00
All proceeds will go to Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation to support the purchase of equipment the Maternal Child. The Kiwanis Club of Courtenay’s mandate is children.
Based on a true story, this American-British comedy drama follows young straight laced Charlie Price who must return from London to Northampton to keep the struggling family shoe factory alive. Enter Lola, a drag queen, who gives Charlie the idea to make ladies boots for men. Soon the factory is turning out kinky boots and this harebrained scheme is actually working. Exciting, funny and inspirational, this film full of heart and humanity, is hilarious to the point of exhaustion.
Sometimes audiences just want to have fun so join in on this event full of surprizes and prizes with your drag queen outfits and kinky boots for some wonderful infectious good humour. Prizes, as well, for best costumes judged as you walk across the stage to show off your creation.
