The Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation knows that when you give…it changes everything, and the Board of Directors would like to thank outgoing Executive Director, Lynn Dashkewytch, for all that she has given to CVHF. “For the past 13 years, Lynn has given her time, dedication and caring spirit to the Foundation and our community.”

Under Lynn’s leadership, and thanks to the generosity of caring donors throughout the Comox Valley, the Foundation has funded significant improvements to the delivery of healthcare right here at home.

“I am very grateful to so many individuals, businesses, and service clubs for their support over the years. Together, we have improved many levels of care by funding equipment and technology upgrades, patient care, and through staff education… and I’m truly grateful to have been part of it.”

As Lynn retires and the leadership torch is passed forward, the Board of Directors welcomes Colt Long, CFRE as the new Executive Director. He brings with him over 20 years of fundraising and leadership experience for organizations including Banff Centre, MacEwan University, and The Salvation Army.

“I am very excited to be part of the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. It will be my privilege to build upon its legacy and work with the many dedicated donors—individuals, businesses and organizations—to maintain partnerships that have been forged over the last many years by The Views at St. Joseph’s, the Comox Valley Hospital, the Healthcare Foundation, and Lynn, while developing new relationships within the community. I take this responsibility very seriously and am looking forward to connecting with the great people of the Comox Valley, and to serving this community with the same distinction as my predecessors.”

Feel free to stop by and meet Colt at the Foundation office just inside the Comox Valley Hospital’s main entrance, or email him a welcome at colt@cvhealthcarefoundation.com.
