Comox Valley Family Physician Recruitment and Retention Task Force welcomes new physicians to the Comox Valley

The Comox Valley Family Physician Recruitment and Retention Task Force is pleased to welcome 8 new family physicians to the Comox Valley over the last 8 months.

The Task Force, led by the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice, consists of municipal representatives, family physicians, community organizations, and patient partners working together to develop a sustainable family physician recruitment and retention strategy for the Comox Valley. The Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation Board and the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice work closely in the work of the Task Force.

We are grateful to Mindset Wealth IA Private Wealth Management for generously funding the purchase of special gift boxes filled with locally made goodies to provide to new family physicians when they arrive in our community as part of a warm welcome.

The gift boxes are a shared initiative of the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice and the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation.  They are bought from The Comox Box, a local service that curates beautifully appointed gift bundles from goods made close to home.

If you are looking for a family physician or nurse practitioner, please sign up for the Health Connect Registry Health Connect Registry | HealthLink BC, or by calling 811 and you will be contacted when a provider becomes available.
